Darth Skrye was a Sith Lord of the female persuasion, who bore the title of Darth. Jedi Padawan Dooku experienced a Force vision where he saw many potential, colliding futures, and Skrye was present in that vision. This occurred after Dooku's encounter with the last coven of the Presagers of Hakotei during a mission to the planet Asusto in 82 BBY. Within the vision, Dooku overheard Skrye proclaiming the opening of the [Cauldron](/article/cauldron] and the rebirth of the Sith, accompanied by the shattering sound of a planet breaking apart and a significant explosion. As the vision progressed, Skrye's voice became intertwined with numerous others, until Dooku re-emerged, having killed the Presagers using Force lightning.
After this experience, Jedi Master Lene Kostana inquired about Dooku's vision, and he recounted seeing the Sith. However, Kostana reassured him that his visions represented only possibilities that could be averted. Dooku subsequently documented the events that transpired on Asusto in his personal journal. Later, around 23 BBY, Dooku permitted his newly recruited Sith assassin, Asajj Ventress, to uncover his journal during her investigation concerning the whereabouts of his sister, Jenza. Ventress then listened to the section that detailed his vision of Darth Skrye. Interestingly, Skrye's name was the same as the Hand of Skrye, an artifact discovered by Kostana and her Padawan, Sifo-Dyas, before their mission to Asusto.
The character of Darth Skrye made an appearance in a vision during a flashback sequence featured in the audio drama Dooku: Jedi Lost, which was penned by Cavan Scott and released on April 30, 2019. Their name was revealed in the script, which was published on October 1 of that same year. According to Scott, the creation of Darth Skrye is attributed to fellow author Claudia Gray.
