A form of communication was employed by the Nightsisters hailing from Dathomir, mainly for their magick rituals. Mother Talzin utilized it during her alteration of Savage Opress, transforming him into a dark side warrior, and Old Daka later spoke it during the Chant of Resurrection to revive the undead. Symbols representing this language were etched onto the container holding a lock of Count Dooku's hair. Talzin again spoke the language when Darth Maul returned to his homeworld, and she performed an exorcism on him. Subsequently, around 14 BBY, during an encounter with the Jedi Cal Kestis, the Nightsister Merrin repeated the Chant of Resurrection, resurrecting undead Nightsisters. While braiding hair into cloth for burial pods, Nightsisters would utter a spell of protection. In 9 ABY, the Great Mothers recited the Chant of Resurrection on Grand Admiral Thrawn's Night Troopers to support him against Ahsoka Tano, as they were escaping Peridea.
A magick chant that caused Nightsister Zombies to rise from burial pods.
