In 3 ABY, Deathstick utilized poison-coated weapons to incapacitate the assassin Just Lucky while he was battling his one-time mentor Gallin Crae on the Crimson Dawn Fortress-Flagship, the Vermillion. Shortly after this event, Deathstick used poison-covered knives to secure the rogue archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra to a wall within the Vermillion.
