The Dauntless, a Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer, served the Imperial Navy of the Fel Empire. However, following the One Sith's coup, it transitioned into the Sith Empire's naval forces.
In the year 137 ABY, Darth Maladi orchestrated a scheme where Darth Kruhl would attempt to infiltrate Bastion and assassinate Emperor Roan Fel. The defection of the Dauntless, along with Governor Vikar Dorn (whose son was the ship's captain), was used as bait in this plot. After Lord Kruhl's failure, Roan Fel's military forces gathered and executed the entire crew of the Dauntless, except for Governor Dorn, who was sent back to Sith-controlled territory as a messenger.
Subsequently, the Dauntless became part of Fel's naval fleet. It was later utilized to transport the Emperor to Agamar for a meeting with the New Jedi Order. At this point, the ship was commanded by Admiral Tohri Challon, with Captain Basile serving as her second-in-command.
During the First Sith Imperial Strikeforce's ambush on Fel and the aforementioned meeting, the Dauntless engaged three enemy Star Destroyers. This action was intended to provide cover for the Emperor's evacuation aboard his shuttle. While the Dauntless successfully protected the shuttle long enough for it to make a hyperspace jump, it was soon destroyed by the War Hammer.
