Davrel

Davrel was a Mandalorian recruit distinguished by his blue-armored suit. He was stationed on the [jungle](/article/jungle/legends] planet of Dxun during the Dark Wars, serving under the leadership of Mandalore the Preserver.

Biography

Because he was too young to participate in the Mandalorian Wars, Davrel felt inadequate and sought a means to demonstrate his worth as a Mandalorian.

When Meetra Surik challenged him in Dxun's Battle Circle, he readily accepted. Despite the fact that they fought unarmed and Surik did not use the Force, he was defeated. In a fit of rage, Davrel ambushed Surik outside the Mandalorian camp and challenged her to a no-holds-barred fight, pleading for a warrior's death.

Instead of granting his wish and killing him in a battle he would surely lose, Surik proposed a different way for him to improve his reputation as a warrior. Davrel agreed to assist her in defeating a zakkeg, thereby redeeming himself for his defeat in the Battle Circle and proving his worth as a capable warrior.

Behind the scenes

In an alternative conclusion, Surik grants Davrel's wish and delivers him an honorable death. In this scenario, Canderous Ordo, the Mandalore, would praise Surik for understanding the Mandalorian customs. Choosing this option yields less experience than collaborating to defeat the zakkeg.

A light-side alternative involves rejecting Davrel's plea for an honorable death, which causes Davrel to flee into the jungle. His corpse is discovered later, the cause of death being permacrete detonators.

Davrel can also die in battle if the zakkeg is not defeated quickly enough. Unlike full companions, he cannot be revived.
