Biography

Born in the city of Mos Espa, located on the Outer Rim planet of Tatooine, Dax Gazaway's life began in a vibrant locale. Mos Espa was famous for hosting the annual Boonta Eve Classic Podrace, an event that drew spectators from across the galaxy. By 24 BBY, Gazaway had embarked on a career as a Podrace broadcaster and in-race commentator. Gazaway closely followed the 24 BBY Podracing season, which featured the return of several experienced professionals alongside a wave of new competitors. The season gained particular attention due to the comeback of the Dug pilot Sebulba, who entered the competition with a formidable Collor Pondrat Plug-G Gargantua Split-X Podracer, and his longtime rival, Anakin Skywalker, a former slave who had since become a Jedi in training.

Despite his sometimes insensitive remarks, he was reputed to maintain a professional relationship with every pilot involved in the tournament. At the conclusion of the season, Gazaway journeyed to the palace of Jabba the Hutt to announce the season's champion.
