Tom Kane

Tom Kane, born on April 15, 1962, is a now-retired American voice actor. He contributed to numerous Star Wars projects across film, television, and video game mediums. He frequently provided voice matches for established characters like Admiral Ackbar, C-3PO, and Yoda, roles originally performed by Erik Bauersfeld, Anthony Daniels, and Frank Oz in the theatrical releases. He is especially recognized for his extensive involvement in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series (20082020), where he not only voiced Yoda but also served as the show's newsreel announcer and the character of Admiral Yularen.

On December 30, 2020, Sam, Kane's daughter, publicly shared that her father had experienced a stroke affecting the left side of his brain in October. This resulted in weakness on his right side and impairment to his speech abilities. Kane is currently in treatment, receiving speech, occupational, and physical therapies to aid in his recovery. Sadly, his neurologists have expressed concerns that these health issues may force him into retirement from his voice-over career.
