Daymont Praji, whose alias was "Veracity," belonged to House Praji and held the position of commodore within the Galactic Republic's navy during the Pius Dea Era. In the year 11,660 BBY, following the Republic's unsuccessful attempt to seize the governing body of the planet Zarracina III, Praji gave the order for orbital bombardment to be unleashed upon the planet as a punitive measure. This bombardment resulted in the near-annihilation of the Zarracine species, whose surviving members subsequently harbored a deep-seated resentment towards both the Republic and House Praji for a millennia.
Daymont Praji, also going by the name "Veracity," was an aristocratic member of House Praji, living in the Pius Dea Era. This time period, spanning from approximately 12,000 BBY to 11,000 BBY, saw the Humanocentric Pius Dea cult controlling the Galactic Republic. Within the Republic's naval forces, Praji achieved the rank of commodore. In 11,660 BBY, after the discovery of a crucial, stable hyperspace jump point in the Zarracina system, the Republic sought to take control of the planet Zarracina III, home to the sentient Zarracine species. Facing imminent capture by the Republic, the planet's entire ruling council committed suicide to avoid conversion to the Pius Dea religion and to defy the Republic's attempted conquest.
In retaliation, Praji commanded that Zarracina III be bombarded from orbit, plunging the planet into a radioactive winter. This bombardment brought the Zarracines to the brink of near-extinction, with the few remaining aliens adopting a nomadic lifestyle and fostering a hatred for the Republic and the Praji family that persisted for over ten thousand years. In 104 ABY, Doctor Gabrel Treon referenced Praji's involvement in the bombardment of Zarracina III in his article, "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Praji: A Cartel of Genes," which appeared in the Byblos Journal of Historical Science.
The character of Daymont Praji was mentioned within "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Praji," an article penned by Nathan O'Keefe. It was featured as part of the StarWars.com Hyperspace feature on February 5, 2009.
