The "Intergalactic" designated DC0052 speeder was a type of airspeeder that the Jedi Order employed during the final years of the Galactic Republic. Daystar Craft engineered this vehicle, which, at two meters in length, could achieve a maximum velocity of eight hundred kilometers per hour and a range exceeding two thousand kilometers without refueling. Maintenance costs were low, and it had a unique "drop-deployment" system, enabling Jedi to rapidly engage in combat while the DC0052 utilized its autopilot to land itself. The Jedi High Council possessed and maintained a collection of sixteen of these vehicles.
This speeder, the DC0052, was a cost-effective, short-distance transport, capable of traversing over two thousand kilometers without stopping. Its operational ceiling was one hundred and seventy kilometers in altitude, and it could reach speeds of eight hundred kilometers per hour. The vehicle's streamlined design facilitated rapid movement within urban environments, powered by twin Sono-class thrust pods.
The DC0052 also incorporated four Daystar Craft repulsorlift generators to enhance its maneuverability, drawing power from its resilient power core. A distinctive feature was its "drop-deployment" panel. This panel allowed a Jedi to quickly disembark and enter a situation, having programmed the craft's autopilot to land. The DC0052, shaped like a flying wing, had a centrally located, compact cockpit designed for a single occupant.

Daystar Craft produced the DC0052 speeder, a budget-friendly vehicle exclusively used by the Jedi Order during the decline of the Galactic Republic. It served as a personal transport to move Jedi Knights between locations. It superseded the earlier DC0040 speeder, which Daystar's marketing team had previously promoted as "Intergalactic." Although the DC0052 was never officially named "Intergalactic," the association persisted. These speeders were commonly seen on Coruscant during that time, but they also operated on other worlds.
The Jedi High Council maintained a fleet of sixteen DC0052 speeders, using them for transportation across the galactic capital. This eliminated the need to rely on public transportation or overextend the use of Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptors and Eta-2 Actis-class interceptors. The DC0052's range allowed the Jedi to reach many locations on the planet without entering orbit. Some units displayed the insignia of the Open Circle Fleet. Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano frequently used these speeders on Coruscant around 21 BBY. On one occasion, Tano employed a transport to locate her Master, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, and Senator Padmé Amidala of Naboo at a landing pad on the ecumenopolis. Amidala was preparing to depart on her J-type diplomatic barge to deliver important information. Tano also utilized a DC0052 speeder to travel from the Jedi Temple to meet Amidala at another landing pad before the Senator's departure. Similarly, Tano used one of these speeders to visit Letta Turmond in a republic prison after Turmond requested her presence. When Tano was accused of Turmond's murder, she attempted to escape from the prison using the speeder, but a nearby turret destroyed it. In 19 BBY, Skywalker used one of the vehicles to travel from the Jedi Temple to the Republic Executive Building, where the attempted arrest of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine was unfolding. Later that year, following the Declaration of a New Order, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi employed one of these vehicles to reach Amidala's apartment, where they convened.
The DC0052 speeder made its initial appearance in 2005 within George Lucas's film, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, although it remained unnamed in the movie. Its name and further details were later provided through the StarWars.com Hyperspace feature, "What's The Story?." Nathan Butler (Equals and Opposites) and "The Dark Moose" (who also worked on the Unstable Terrain Artillery Transport entry in the Databank) contributed to the vehicle's backstory and specifications. The name was already present in the submission sheet, and "The Dark Moose" supplied the majority of the information. However, his proposed nickname for the vehicle, "Deuce," was not included in the final version. The speeder received an entry in 2008's The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, utilizing data from its Databank entry. In 2010, more than five years after its initial creation, the DC0052 speeder was featured in the third season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, specifically in the episodes "Sphere of Influence" and "Assassin."
