DD-1A, alternatively referred to as Deedee-Wunay or just Deedee, functioned as a droid within the Jedi Order. It was stationed on the planet of Banchii throughout the High Republic Era. Deedee provided support to the Jedi assigned to Banchii, specifically Jedi Master Arkoff, Archivist Ru-Ru, Padawan Keerin Fionn, together with younglings Nima and Viv'nia. This droid played a role in observing the forest surrounding the Jedi temple located on Banchii, and was tasked with the upkeep of a detailed map of the surrounding terrain.
