This conflict commenced in the weeks subsequent to the First Battle of Geonosis and persisted even as the Second Battle of Geonosis unfolded. On Dantooine, Jedi General Mace Windu commanded the Galactic Republic forces in their resistance against the attacking Separatist Droid Army. Although Windu's troops successfully repelled the assault, they found themselves in need of medical provisions after the confrontation.
The brief allusion to this battle within the "Brain Invaders" episode served as an homage to the Star Wars: Clone Wars television program from Star Wars Legends. In that depiction, Mace Windu fought alone against a droid army during the Battle of Dantooine.
