The Defoliator Deployment Tank (DDT), which is also commonly referred to as the Defoliator Tank, represented a specialized adaptation of the Armored Assault Tank. This modification was conceived by Neimoidian weapons engineer General Lok Durd to carry his defoliator weapon throughout the Clone Wars. The initial deployment of the DDT occurred in 21 BBY on the planet Maridun. On this occasion, Durd showcased the weapon's capabilities to Count Dooku by using it on a pair of B1-series battle droids close to his outpost. Following the DDT's annihilation during the defense of Maridun, a subsequent DDT, actually the second and final prototype, was utilized in the Battle of Dathomir, where it met its end at the hands of the Nightsisters.
