Deneter

Deneter, a planet situated within Wild Space, was orbited by a collection of twenty satellites, all devoid of inhabitants. This celestial body resided within a nebula in proximity to the Red Twins.

History

During the Clone Wars, Deneter became the stage for intense and ruinous combat, leaving the planet nearly unfit for habitation. The extensive damage inflicted by these conflicts led to a mass exodus, with the population abandoning their homes to seek refuge in the Core Worlds, with Coruscant being a primary destination.

In the months following the fall of the Jedi Order, Ferus Olin, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Trever Flume found themselves pursued by bounty hunter Boba Fett, who was then in the employ of Inquisitor Malorum. The trio successfully evaded Fett, leading him into a trap that resulted in his ship, the Slave I, crash-landing on one of Deneter's satellites.

Behind the scenes

Deneter made its initial appearance in the novel The Last of the Jedi: Dark Warning. While the novel placed the planet within the Red Twins' star system, the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Jason Fry together with Daniel Wallace, established a separate Deneter system. This inconsistency was subsequently addressed by removing the Deneter system from The Essential Atlas Online Companion. Jason Fry later verified this change and confirmed Deneter's location within the Red Twins system.
