Biography

Dersa Welles, a Force Adept of human female origin, was a prominent figure within the Intarsa League criminal syndicate. Welles eventually rose to the position of leader within the Intarsa League, and around 31 BBY, she spearheaded the relocation of the League's operations to the Cularin system. Following a short period of establishment in the Cularin asteroid belt, Welles and her League established their base of operations in the crime-infested city of Tolea Biqua situated on Genarius, the third world in the star system's planetary arrangement. From this location, they orchestrated multiple fraudulent schemes targeting Bayonard, a platform city on the nearby planet Cularin.

After disagreements arose with other criminal entities operating in Tolea Biqua, Welles and the Intarsa League were compelled to evacuate Genarius. Seeking refuge on Cularin, Welles and her League forcibly took control of the Blue Star Centre, a center for philosophical studies, and held its inhabitants captive. Welles stipulated that in exchange for the safe liberation of the hostages, the criminals responsible for the attacks against the Intarsa League must be apprehended. Furthermore, she demanded a ransom of 10,000 credits along with a starship to facilitate their departure from the Cularin system. However, the Office of Peace and Security, a local law enforcement agency, alongside the Heroes of Cularin, attacked Welles and the Intarsa League, successfully liberating the hostages from their grasp.
