Desinta, situated in the Outer Rim Territories, was an icy planet. A civil conflict engulfed Desinta between the years of 42 BBY and 32 BBY. This conflict involved the Desintian government, which was headed by the elected Prefect Aminar, and various other groups, one of which was the Dan'Gar. During this time, Jedi Padawan Lizel Liit, who had fled the Jedi Order due to uncertainties about her path, was offered to the highest bidder on Desinta by the criminal Zarah Bliss; subsequently, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn was dispatched to bring her back.
The short story "Resolve", penned by Alex Segura, featured Desinta; it was included in the 2022 publication titled Stories of Jedi and Sith.
