Zarah Bliss, a pilot and spice runner of the female persuasion, held the position of chief of the Spice Runners of Kijimi. At some point in the period between 42 BBY and 32 BBY, Lizel Liit, a Jedi Padawan, absconded from the Jedi Temple located on the planet of Coruscant, managing to get aboard Bliss's ship heading towards the Outer Rim Territories. Instead of providing assistance as promised, Bliss betrayed Liit by delivering her to Desinta, an ice planet, where she sold the Jedi to the highest bidder, specifically the Dan'Gar faction, a group in political opposition to Prefect Aminar, the officially elected head of Desinta. By the time 4 ABY rolled around, Zarah Bliss had died, with Zeva Bliss taking over as the new head of the Spice Runners. Mon Mothma, the leader of the Rebel Alliance, was informed of Bliss's passing, and when she encountered the spice runner Tomasso on Desinta during that year, she expressed her sympathies to Tomasso.
The character of Zarah Bliss was initially referenced within the short story titled "Resolve," penned by Alex Segura, which was included in the 2022 collection known as Stories of Jedi and Sith.
