Zeva Bliss, a human female criminal, rose to power as the leader of the infamous Spice Runners of Kijimi after usurping control from Zarah Bliss. Unlike her predecessor, Zeva successfully forged the Spice Runners into a cohesive and unified organization. She was also the mother of Zorii Bliss, who, despite her lineage, joined the gang at a young age and insisted on earning her place without any preferential treatment.
Born to Zarah Bliss, a smuggler pilot, and an unidentified father, Zeva spent her formative years on Kijimi, a planet dominated by the criminal syndicate known as the Ashiga Clan. Zarah had previously united independent Spice Smugglers within the system, effectively establishing a trade union. Upon Zarah's death by 4 ABY, Zeva inherited the organization and swiftly transformed it from a loose collective into a fully integrated syndicate.
In the aftermath of the deaths of Darth Vader and Darth Sidious during the Battle of Endor, the Empire fractured. However, Grand Moff Ubrik Adelhard maintained control over the Anoat sector. A brilliant but unstable leader, Adelhard believed he was chosen by Vader to continue the Empire's legacy. Recognizing the need for underworld allies and aware of the Spice Runners' desire to escape the Ashiga Clan's influence, Adelhard approached Zeva, proposing a mercenary agreement. Zeva accepted and subsequently contacted Bib Fortuna, suggesting a similar alliance between the Hutt Clan and Adelhard. Fortuna dismissed the idea, ridiculing Zeva's proposition. With Spice Runner ships bolstering Adelhard's fleet, Zeva discovered a New Republic Taskforce, including Kes Dameron, Jarek Yeager, Rynn Zenat, and Therisa Alern, that had evaded Imperial detection. Zeva attempted to capture them, but the Taskforce escaped, inflicting damage on several of her vessels.
Following Adelhard's initial defeat by Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, and the aforementioned Taskforce, he demanded retribution. Zeva responded by placing a bounty on General Skywalker's head, a move that even her advisor, Tomasso, considered audacious. Zeva employed two bounty hunters, the Trandoshan Kranor and the Arcona Cyborg Lan-Drus, for assassinations. She tasked them with eliminating targets that Adelhard desired dead. Kranor successfully assassinated Senator Mirim Kess, while Lan-Drus eliminated New Republic Intelligence director Calder Behrens. Kranor also attempted to assassinate Skywalker on Chandrila, but Leia Skywalker Organa Solo and her security detail intervened, forcing his retreat. Eventually, Zeva grew weary of Adelhard's erratic behavior and, using Kranor as her agent, supported Reyna Oskure and Kith Alaytia in their mutiny against the Imperial commander.
Under the pretense of forming a partnership, Bliss convened a summit on Kijimi, gathering both allies and enemies from the criminal world. Her true intention was to execute them all, thereby elevating the Spice Runners' status in the galactic underworld. However, her scheme was thwarted by Poe Dameron, a recent recruit to the Spice Runners and an associate of her daughter Zorii, who opposed the executions. Bliss overpowered Dameron, but Zorii intervened before she could deliver the killing blow. Dameron declined Zorii's offer to overthrow her mother and seize control of the Spice Runners. Zeva eventually met her demise, paving the way for Zorii to become the leader of the Spice Runners by the time of the war between the First Order and the Resistance.
As the leader of the Spice Runners, Zeva donned a blue temperature-regulating body glove flight suit, a Plasteel battle mask with a Bronzium finish, and a fur-lined cape. Her weaponry included an E-851 blaster pistol and a Vibroblade.
Zeva commanded a Centurion-class battlecruiser, serving as its Captain.
