Kranor, a Trandoshan who made his living as a hunter, committed the assassination of Mirim Kess, the Kel Dor senator, on Kewwil during the time of the Galactic Civil War.
Kranor, a Bounty hunter known for his terrifying reputation, maintained a longstanding connection with the Spice Runners of Kijimi. Following the Battle of Endor by a few months, Zeva Bliss employed him on retainer for tasks involving debt collection and contract killings. At that point, Zeva had formed an alliance with Grand Moff Ubrik Adelhard's Imperial remnant. Adelhard, having recently experienced his initial defeat, sought retribution. He supplied Bliss with a roster of New Republic individuals he desired eliminated. Bliss then passed this list to Kranor, who proceeded to hunt down Senator Mirim Kess, who was hiding on Kewwil. After eliminating Kess with a shot from his E-5C heavy blaster rifle, Kranor got in touch with Tomasso, Bliss's advisor, and communicated his intention to pursue the next target on the list.
Next, Kranor traveled to Chandrila, seeking to confront Luke Skywalker, as he was eager to engage a Jedi in combat. Kranor located General Skywalker in Hanna City and launched an assault using an electrosword that was resistant to Lightsaber strikes. Despite Kranor's lack of Force sensitivity, his inherent strength, weaponry, and protective armor enabled him to gain the upper hand over the young Jedi Master. As Kranor prepared to deliver a fatal shot with his blaster, Leia Skywalker Organa Solo, accompanied by a security detail, disarmed him with a blaster shot. Kranor was then compelled to withdraw, but not before warning the Skywalker twins and their allies that none were safe.
Kranor was subsequently assigned to Adelhard's flagship, the Scepter, to aid Reyna Oskure and Kith Alaytia in their mutiny against Adelhard. Kranor engaged in combat with Adelhard's Master-At-Arms, Commander Bragh, ultimately defeating him, although he was disappointed that the Purge Trooper did not provide as challenging a fight as he had anticipated. Kranor then proceeded to place Adelhard, Bragh, and stormtroopers still loyal to Adelhard into an Escape pod that had been sabotaged to ensure a hard impact on the surface of a nearby planet. He then stood alongside Oskure on the bridge of the Scepter as she announced to the New Republic that she was the new Commander of Adelhard's forces.
Kranor was equipped with Lightsaber-resistant Beskar armor. His main armaments included an E-5C heavy blaster rifle and an electrosword that, like his armor, could withstand lightsaber attacks.
