Following the reported death of Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine at the Battle of Endor, Grand Moff Ubrik Adelhard, the Imperial Governor governing the Anoat sector, initiated his own well-structured Imperial remnant during the year of 4 ABY. He established the Iron Blockade, thereby preventing any departures from the sector. Similar to Governor Ecressys of the Velcar sector, Adelhard also disseminated the falsehood asserting that Palpatine was still alive. Adelhard's resources included Commander Bragh alongside his Purge Troopers, the black site prison referred to as "the Crypt," the various planetary garrisons, and the sector's fleet, which featured the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer known as Dread Omen.
Months after the blockade began, a freedom movement coalesced around a young smuggler hailing from Burnin Konn, eventually evolving into the Uprising. The Uprising inflicted significant damage on Adelhard's forces, notably by conducting a raid on the Crypt and eliminating Commander Bragh. In the end, after numerous months of conflict, Ubrik Adelhard's faction collapsed. The final remaining members entrenched themselves within the Bolo Tanga room located on the casino level of Cloud City. With assistance from a number of Bespin Wing Guards along with some New Republic soldiers, Baron Administrator Lando Calrissian successfully drove them out.
