During the Galactic Civil War, an individual of Human descent, characterized by a fair complexion, served the Galactic Empire in the rank of captain. This person was the chief in command of Desolation Station, a facility situated on an asteroid. Its purpose was the manufacturing of superlaser components essential for the Imperial Death Star superweapon. In the period spanning from 2 BBY to 0 BBY, the final component, known as the tributary beam, reached completion and was prepared for transport to the Death Star currently under construction. However, the Rebel Alliance launched a raid on Desolation Station, during which the Force-sensitive clone X2 commandeered the transport carrying the component. With the assistance of the tributary beam, the station was obliterated. The commander survived the destruction of Desolation Station and was subsequently brought before X1, X2's brother and a servant of the Empire.
