The Dalna Destruction, a volcanic disaster, occurred on the planet Dalna in the year 230 BBY. This event was initiated by the Nihil pirate group. Their scientist, Zadina Mkampa, used a crystal matrix embedded within the planet's crust to generate devastating groundquakes, setting off the chain of events. Mkampa put the matrix into operation when Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh launched an attack against her, an action taken during her mission to save her childhood friend, the young researcher Avon Starros. Despite concerns about Dalna's potential inability to heal, Honesty Weft believed that scientists would discover methods to bring stability back to the world. In the end, Dalna did recover.
