This assault occurred despite the planet lacking any strategic importance, resulting in the devastation of its cities and botanical paradises. Republic Military troops were compelled to withdraw, aiding refugees in their departure from the Amrit spaceport. Amidst the chaos, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi along with Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker saved the children Zohra and Dumuz, together with their parents, from the remnants of their residence and the Enki greenhouse. Furthermore, Devalok held significance as the homeworld of the esteemed Jedi Master Uma Kalidi.
