Digrenara held the position of Supreme Chancellor in the Galactic Republic prior to Lina Soh's election to the same office, which occurred circa 234 BBY. Rhil Dairo, a reporter, stated that Digrenara made significant contributions to the Republic during their tenure as chancellor. In 231 BBY, Dairo internally expressed the opinion that Soh, who was widely admired throughout the galaxy and governed the Republic during what the reporter considered a potential golden age for the galaxy, had accomplished more for the Republic than any other Supreme Chancellor since Digrenara.
