The Dimoks, often called Dims, constituted a cultural group belonging to the Sepan species. Their origin was Dimok, one of the two main planets found within the Sepan system.
During the Sepan Civil War, which unfolded sporadically across centuries, the Dimoks were entangled with the people of Ripoblus.
By 22 BBY, the Dimoks had been engaged in war with their neighbors, the Ripoblus, for several decades. This conflict persisted until the Galactic Empire arrived in the Sepan system around 3 ABY. Initially, the Dimoks backed the Empire, but they were later betrayed and assaulted by the invading forces. Consequently, the Dimoks and Ripoblus forged a truce to try and expel the Empire. This short-lived alliance ultimately failed because the Dimoks and Ripoblus lacked the necessary military strength to resist the Empire. Admiral Harkov and Maarek Stele suppressed the Sepan forces, effectively bringing the Sepan Civil War to a halt for several decades.
In 40 ABY, old disputes resurfaced, leading to renewed conflict within the Sepan system. However, this time, the Galactic Alliance intervened to quell the fighting, as Imperial dominance in the galaxy had significantly diminished. As of 137 ABY, the war between the Dimoks and their adversaries was still ongoing.
