Sepan Civil War

The Sepan Civil War, also referenced as the Sepan wars, represented a series of intermittent battles between the Dimoks and the Ripoblus within the Sepan system. These conflicts stretched across multiple centuries.

History

The precise start date of the conflict remains unknown. However, records indicate that by 22 BBY, the war had been ongoing for several decades and had escalated to a point that it garnered the attention of the Galactic Republic. Attempting to bring an end to the hostilities, the Republic sent three separate Jedi missions to negotiate a peaceful resolution. The final mission included Jedi Knights Empatojayos Brand, Bultar Swan, and Chellemi Chuovvick. With mediation efforts failing, speculation arose regarding a possible Sepan departure from the Republic.

Throughout the Clone Wars and the establishment of the Galactic Empire, the Sepan Civil War continued unabated. As Palpatine's Empire focused on re-establishing order throughout the galaxy and suppressing the burgeoning Rebellion, the Sepan conflict faded into obscurity.

Following their successful victory at Hoth in 3 ABY, Admiral Harkov and a small Imperial fleet were dispatched to the Sepan system with the aim of ending the war. The Ripoblus welcomed the Imperials, viewing them as an opportunity to secure victory over their Dimok adversaries. Harkov, however, intended to subdue both factions. Aided by the young Maarek Stele, Harkov's forces compelled the two sides to unite. Representatives from each side convened on Sepan 8 to discuss collaborative efforts to repel the Imperial forces. Despite their efforts, they were unsuccessful. Harkov's forces triumphed over the Sepan forces and their Rebel Alliance allies, effectively ending the Sepan Civil War.

Near the end of 40 ABY, during the Second Galactic Civil War, long-standing tensions resurfaced across the galaxy. The Sepan Civil War reignited between the Dimoks and the Ripoblus. Chief of State Cal Omas prioritized deploying Galactic Alliance forces to quell the conflict, mirroring the Empire's actions decades prior.
