Dinky, a rancor, belonged to the criminal Nirama as a pet. This rancor resided within a containment cell situated on Nirama's public asteroid and was the progenitor of Bender. Subsequent to the asteroid's desertion, Dinky managed to break free from his confinement and roamed the Red Sector vicinity of the asteroid. The scarcity of sustenance in that location led to extreme hunger, culminating in him devouring his offspring. Three weeks elapsed, and he found himself at the establishment known as Mokada's Place when the Heroes of Cularin happened to be passing through. He attempted to consume them, but his efforts were thwarted.
