The moniker "The Directors" was taken on by the three Squib individuals, Grees, Emala, and Sligh, after the conclusion of the Yuuzhan Vong War. They established a business arrangement with the Colony, negotiating several import/export agreements that granted them a significant portion of the earnings. Leveraging their connections with planets within the Galactic Alliance, the Squibs amassed substantial wealth by fraudulently overcharging for shipments.
During the Dark Nest Crisis, the Directors were found to be providing the Killiks with transport ships. These ships were subsequently used to orchestrate military takeovers on the native planets of diverse insectoid species. Han and Leia Organa Solo exposed the conspiracy and alerted the Galactic Alliance before the situation escalated further. Although Thyferra suffered consequences, the Directors experienced a major financial setback as most of their merchandise was destroyed.
