Dorthu Santim, an Ithorian of the male persuasion, called Lothal his home approximately five years prior to the pivotal Battle of Yavin. While the Galactic Empire held dominion over the planet, stormtroopers of the Empire compelled Santim to labor at an All Terrain Missile Platform installation, until the Spectres led by Kanan Jarrus liberated him. Subsequent to his liberation, the Ithorian relocated to the Haven, a clandestine rebel refuge, where he resided alongside other vulnerable individuals.
Subsequent to his arrival back at the Haven, Santim was under the impression that his continued existence was solely due to his utility to the Empire. Bridger's visit to him at the Haven instilled in him a sense of hope, leading him to believe in the temporary safety of himself and his loved ones.
