Dorv'Tilsta

Dorv'Tilsta, also known as Dorv Tilsta, was a youthful male Lethan Twi'lek Jedi Initiate inducted into the Jedi Order sometime in the years leading up to the Clone Wars.

Biography

As a Force-sensitive Twi'lek, Dorv Tilsta was only five standard years of age when the wandering Jedi Master Vhiin Thorla became aware of the young boy's connection to the Force. Master Thorla, explaining his mission to put an end to the enslavement of their shared species, successfully persuaded the boy's parents to permit young Tilsta to join the ranks of the Jedi Order as his personal Padawan. Taking Tilsta as his apprentice, Master Thorla brought the young learner to The Enclave, a sanctuary created for former slaves, and diligently commenced his studies in the ways of the Jedi. During his initial days at The Enclave, Tilsta encountered many of its inhabitants, including other Twi'lek children, specifically Tror, Dath, and Meeva. It was during this period that a band of slavers located and assaulted The Enclave. Amidst the resulting conflict, Tilsta defied his Master's instructions to remain hidden, and attempted to assist the Enclave's defenders. In the heat of battle, Tilsta was captured and incapacitated by a slaver, but was ultimately rescued by two Jedi agents who were visiting Master Thorla at the Enclave.

Shortly thereafter, the Clone Wars began between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, however Tilsta and his master were not involved in the conflict. As such, the members of the Enclave were not found at the conclusion of the war when the Galactic Empire gained power and the Jedi Order was dissolved. As the Empire initiated the Great Jedi Purge and Jedi across the galaxy were pursued and eliminated, Tilsta and his master remained isolated on Ryloth, cut off from all contact with their peers in the Order. After two long years of isolation, the pair ventured out in search of survivors, making their way toward the Cularin system and the Order's academy located on Almas. Upon landing on the planet, the Jedi were horrified to discover the academy reduced to a smoldering ruin, destroyed by an attack that had occurred two years prior. While searching through the wreckage, their presence was detected by Inquisitor Valin Draco and his Dark Jedi apprentice, Raik Muun. Muun deployed a t'salak beast to overwhelm the ten-year-old Tilsta's senses, plunging him into an uncontrollable rage. Enslaved by the t'salak's influence from the dark side, Tilsta turned against his own master. Even though Master Thorla was unwilling to fight his own Padawan, Draco threatened to turn the young Twi'lek to the dark side if he refused to fight. Thinking that he had no other choice, Thorla reluctantly struck down his apprentice, resulting in his death.
