Dovish Hokken
Dovish Hokken, a Jedi Knight, served the Jedi Order during the declining years of the Galactic Republic. During the Separatist Crisis, Hokken, along with two fellow Knights, met his end on the Monitor III.
Biography
As a Force-sensitive individual, Dovish Hokken became a member of the Jedi Order, receiving training in the ways of the Force. After successfully completing the Trials of Knighthood, the Jedi High Council elevated Hokken to the rank of Jedi Knight.
When the Separatist Crisis erupted between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Hokken was summoned before the High Council to undertake a specific assignment. The Council relayed intelligence indicating that the Confederacy had been in communication with the Pirates of Iridium situated in the Atrivis sector, with plans to pilfer spice shipments from several Republic convoys. Hokken, alongside other Jedi, accompanied a task force of Judicial Department agents aboard the Republic cruiser Monitor III, under the command of Jedi Masters Kit Fisto and Belsed-Qan Idan. Protected by a squadron of Jedi-piloted starfighters, the Jedi found themselves ambushed immediately upon exiting hyperspace.
The Monitor III suffered substantial damage due to the Pirates' potent weaponry, which was enhanced by their distinctive gem technology, resulting in the deaths of numerous Judiciaries and three Jedi Knights. Among those who perished were Jedi Aruden Kej, Yrada Soludisan, and Dovish Hokken. Although the mission was considered unsuccessful, the Monitor III managed to survive the engagement and return to Coruscant without any further losses.
