The Dreighton Nebula existed as a nebula. In the time of the High Republic Era, the Republic Defense Coalition fought against Nihil marauders within the Dreighton Nebula; this engagement formed a component of Operation: Counterstrike. This operation was a campaign by both the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order to overcome the Nihil group after the Valo Atrocity.
