Droid march

The droid march, a musical motif, was created by John Williams for the Star Wars prequel trilogy. It musically embodies the battle droids.

This musical selection is heard on numerous occasions in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace when the Trade Federation Droid Army undertakes its invasion of the planet Naboo. In Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, it symbolizes the clone troopers—specifically, it plays during Obi-Wan Kenobi's initial viewing of them fully armored on Kamino—these troopers would become the Grand Army of the Republic while unknowingly serving the Sith.

A related musical piece, "The Arena," is introduced in "Love Pledge and the Arena" from Attack of the Clones; it represents the Grand Army of the Republic. Furthermore, this musical selection is included in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns as part of a compilation of background music intended to characterize each faction in the game. Within Star Wars: Battlefront, the theme is used when the Confederacy of Independent Systems achieves victory in Galactic Conquest.

The piece is also included in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith as the Battle of Kashyyyk commences with a droid offensive at Kachirho. The theme is also present in Revenge of the Sith during Padmé Amidala's landing on Mustafar.
