Duumas was a Jedi Master of the male persuasion who served the Jedi Order around the time the Ruusan Reformation occurred. Approximately in 1002 BBY, Duumas prophesied the arrival of the powerful child Caeleb and sacrificed himself upon the planet of Dalicron-4. This sacrifice created an area free from the Force for the boy's protection.
A Force-sensitive individual of the male variety, Duumas achieved the rank of Jedi Master within the Jedi Order during the era of the Ruusan Reformation. Around 1002 BBY, Duumas discovered a prediction concerning the coming of a "Child of Light," a being with immense power in the Force. Following this discovery, on the sparsely inhabited planet of Dalicron-4, located within the Outer Rim Territories, Duumas sacrificed his life. His spirit merged into a large, unusually-colored tree on a raised knoll, generating a fifty-meter radius bubble around the tree that was completely devoid of the Force.
Almost one thousand years afterwards, around 2 BBY, the Human male Caeleb, the child foretold by Duumas, was born. Although unaware of the Jedi Master, Caeleb's father had a vision of Duumas' tree. Subsequently, Caeleb's parents established their home next to the tree, with the Force bubble created by Duumas shielding Caeleb from his own Force abilities as he matured.
The character of Jedi Master Duumas was featured in Child of Light, a roleplaying adventure penned by Lee Pickler. This adventure, set in the Star Wars Legends continuity, was released by RPGA in 2000 and served as the initial installment in the Child of Light saga roleplaying trilogy. The adventure does not specify what species Duumas belonged to.
