The electro-bisento was a polearm-type weapon, characterized by a blade affixed to the end of a shaft. This weapon was employed by the First Guard, who was a member of the eight Elite Praetorian Guards tasked as protectors of Supreme Leader Snoke within the ranks of the First Order.
Similar to the other advanced weapons utilized by the Elite Praetorian Guard in their role of defending Supreme Leader Snoke from all potential threats, the electro-bisento's blade, crafted from tempered metal, was connected to a small ultrasonic generator. This generator produced a high-frequency vibration along the blade's edge, thereby amplifying its destructive potential. Furthermore, a plasma filament existed in conjunction, generating an energized blade capable of deflecting strikes from a lightsaber.
During the battle for Mandalore, one of the three Imperial Praetorian Guards assigned to Moff Gideon used an Electro-bisento to stab Paz Vizsla, the Heavy Infantry Mandalorian, in the back of his leg. This injury contributed to the Mandalorian warrior's eventual death.
In the year 34 ABY, the [First Guard](/article/first_guard], along with another member of the Praetorian Guard, carried their electro-bisentos onto Supreme Leader Snoke's flagship, the Supremacy, amidst the war waged between the First Order and the Resistance. Following Snoke's assassinated at the hands of his dark apprentice, Kylo Ren, the guards brandished their electro-bisentos, alongside other weaponry, against both Ren and the Jedi learner [Rey](/article/rey_skywalker], who were both armed with lightsabers. Despite their attempts to avenge Snoke's death, all eight Praetorian Guards were ultimately defeated by the Force-sensitive duo. Kylo Ren engaged in combat with both individuals wielding electro-bisentos. During the confrontation, Ren seized an electro-bisento from one guard, briefly wielding it in conjunction with his lightsaber against another guard before killing its original wielder. The First Guard gained the upper hand against Ren and nearly killed him until Rey threw the Skywalker lightsaber to Ren.
