Eleera Soi
A female Twi'lek named Eleera Soi was in the employ of Crimson Dawn. She was among the few who survived a mission to acquire a Jedi artifact.
Biography
Around 35 BBY, Eleera Soi, a Twi'lek female, was born. After syndicate lieutenants observed her in rigged fighting competitions, Eleera was brought into the criminal organization Crimson Dawn. She accompanied Qi'ra, Myem, and Qorsha on a collection assignment in the city of Calda on the planet Thorum. Recognizing Qi'ra's strength as a warrior, she volunteered to instruct her in the use of vibroblades. Upon arriving at the business, she used intimidation tactics on the owner, and she was impressed when Qi'ra did the same. Although they obtained the credits, she made threats to set the business ablaze. After the group departed, Eleera disclosed that Cerveteri Slane had sent her to observe Qi'ra and determine if she would be successful in the mission. Following the collection of the money owed to Crimson Dawn, Eleera and the others visited a shop that had been behind on payments for three consecutive months. She handed her flamethrower to Qi'ra, who then used it to ignite a tree outside the shop.
She gave Qi'ra combat training in return for information regarding the White Worms and their takeover of the underworld on the planet Corellia. After being given a mission to damage and steal ships from a local criminal group, Eleera invited Qi'ra to accompany her on a reconnaissance mission to the shipyard. While there, she voiced her dissatisfaction with Cerveteri's failure to provide them with complete details about the target. After their time on Thorum, she went back to the First Light and practiced with the Hylobon guards while residing in a barracks on the lower decks of the yacht. Eleera was a guest at some of Vos's parties, where she would mingle with the attendees to gather intelligence.
Personality and traits
Eleera possessed a muscular physique and confidence in her self-defense skills. She generally held others in low regard and was known for being reserved and reclusive. Her close bond with Qi'ra earned her a high level of trust, allowing her to execute her duties as she saw fit. She lacked ambition to lead a syndicate or group, preferring to remain in the shadows to ensure she could escape if necessary. Eleera had olive-toned skin and brown eyes.
Behind the scenes
Eleera Soi was a character conceived for the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws by Massive Entertainment. Before the game's launch, she made her debut in the young-adult novel Crimson Climb (2023), penned by E. K. Johnston. Later, Outlaws revealed Eleera's surname to be Soi and presented her first visual representation. Johnston mentioned that she included Soi in Crimson Climb at the request of her collaborators, as Outlaws was in development at the time. When the author inquired about whether the character needed to fulfill any specific role in the novel, she was granted the freedom to write as she pleased, receiving only a basic description and an early sketch of Soi as guidance. Johnston was unaware of the specific video game in which Soi would eventually appear, having only been informed that she was a game character.
