The grim reaper is after Emperor Palpatine! The oracle stone has predicted the Emperor's impending demise, as his aging spirals out of control. The answer to his problem, the key to reversing his accelerated aging, lies within reach: Han and Leia's youngest offspring, Anakin, possesses the power to undo the process. Palpatine's only recourse is to abduct young Anakin and seize the boy's body for himself! However, Han and Leia are prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice to safeguard their son and the entire galaxy, even if it costs them their lives.
The storyline presented in this issue served as the basis for the Empire's End (audio) radio drama, enhanced by the musical compositions of John Williams from the Star Wars movies.
