The Enforcer served as a Star Destroyer within the Imperial Navy throughout the Imperial Era. The vessel was stationed at the Imperial marshaling station on the planet Pii in 14 BBY, operating alongside another Star Destroyer, the Compliant. A rebel cell launched an attack against an Imperial convoy in proximity to the Gulf of Tatooine, prompting the deployment of both Star Destroyers to engage. However, Moff Wilhuff Tarkin aboard the Executrix had already secured victory against the rebels by the time they reached the conflict.
The Enforcer, a Star Destroyer, possessed both engines and a hyperdrive system.
During the Imperial Era in 14 BBY, the Enforcer held its position at the Imperial marshaling station located on the planet Pii, operating in conjunction with the Star Destroyer Compliant. It was at this time that Berch Teller and his rebel cell initiated an attack targeting an Imperial convoy situated in a star system Coreward of the Gulf of Tatooine. Teller's objective with this assault was to disrupt the advancement of an Imperial battle station, which would later become known as the Death Star, then under construction above the planet Geonosis and serving as the convoy's intended destination.
As a consequence of the attack, the Enforcer and the Compliant were dispatched from Pii to provide support in the ongoing battle. Nevertheless, by the time the two Star Destroyers had traversed hyperspace and arrived in the system, the rebels had already suffered defeat, owing to the prior arrival of Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's Imperial-class Star Destroyer, the Executrix, which had come to safeguard the convoy. As the Compliant and Enforcer came out of hyperspace, an Imperial technician stationed on the bridge of the Executrix notified Tarkin about the emergence of two vessels from hyperspace. Initially, Tarkin suspected a trap, but the technician subsequently clarified that the vessels were Star Destroyers dispatched from Pii.
The 2014 novel Tarkin by James Luceno included a mention of the Enforcer.
