Pii, a world situated in the Pii system close to the Gulf of Tatooine, was a planet. The Galactic Empire maintained Imperial marshaling station Pii there. An Imperial convoy intended to journey to Pii from Desolation Station fourteen years prior to the Battle of Yavin. Their route involved traveling via a moon coreward of the Gulf of Tatooine, followed by hyperspace jumps to Sentinel Base and Geonosis. Nevertheless, these intentions faced disruption when a rebel cell, led by ex-Republic Intelligence Captain Berch Teller, attacked the convoy.
