The Era Daimanos was a cruiser utilized by the Sith Lord Daiman during the era known as the Republic Dark Age. In the year 1032 BBY, Daiman journeyed aboard the Era Daimanos from his capital located on the planet Darkknell to the world of Gazzari, with intentions to set up an ambush against the forces commanded by the Sith Lord Odion.
Subsequently, the Era Daimanos became part of a hastily assembled Sith alliance orchestrated by Vilia Calimondra, the leader of the Calimondra family, in an effort to prevent Odion from employing the Helm of Ieldis to obliterate the galaxy. Daiman communicated with Vilia via hologram from the bridge of his vessel. During the subsequent combat, the Helm caused several members of Daiman's crew to descend into a murderous rage, compelling the Sith Lord to defend himself using Force lightning.
The initial appearance of the Era Daimanos occurred in Star Wars: Knight Errant, a standalone novel penned by John Jackson Miller, which was initially released on January 22, 2011. Later, it was depicted in Miller's comic book Knight Errant: Escape 5, which saw its release on October 10, 2012. In an email conversation, Miller verified that the starship belonging to Daiman, as shown at the beginning of Escape, Part 5, was indeed the Era Daimanos.
