Erebus, a planet situated within the galaxy, was characterized by its mountainous and muddy landscape. The Imperial forces exploited its rich resources through strip mining, leaving the terrain even more desolate and riddled with holes. An Imperial labor camp was established on Erebus, where prisoners were forced to work in the mining operations.
In approximately 18 BBY, Clone Force 99 arrived on Erebus with the mission of infiltrating the labor camp and extracting Edmon Rampart, a former Vice Admiral. Their goal was to obtain the coordinates of Tantiss Base from him.
