Ethan was a Jedi without a master, a male human. After being reached out to by Margrave Juro, who aimed to bring back the Jedi Order, Ethan journeyed to Hy Izlan. There, he encountered six other Jedi awaiting lightsabers made by the famous sabersmith Lah Zhima. But, when Lah Zhima's daughter, Lah Kara, brought the lightsabers, the others exposed themselves as Sith and got ready to defeat Juro. Ethan, Kara, and Juro unsheathed his new lightsaber and fought alongside them, beating the others, except for Homen. Homen then chose to join their cause to rebuild the Jedi, and rescue Lah Zhima.
"The Ninth Jedi," a Star Wars: Visions short, featured Ethan. Hiromu Mineta provides the Japanese voice for the character, while Masi Oka provides the English voice.
