The Excavator droid Mark II, a two-legged mining droid design, saw usage at the Peragus Mining Facility both during and before 3951 BBY. While sharing similarities with the Mining droid Mark II, this particular model was distinguished by its red paint job.
The destruction of all these droids occurred alongside the Mining Facility's annihilation, the result of a chain-reaction explosion. This catastrophic event was initiated by the Republic Hammerhead-class cruiser Harbinger, which had been commandeered by the Sith Lord Darth Sion.
