Faa-Char was a Mon Calamari who held the rank of commander within the Mon Cal forces. Despite the positive rapport between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Mon Cal, the Rebel Alliance hadn't yet succeeded in persuading the majority of the Mon Cal to participate in the fight opposing the Galactic Empire.
Because of Raddus's deeds, along with those of his Mon Cal refugees, the Empire came to regard the whole Mon Calamari species as treasonous. Faa-Char, along with other Mon Cals, was mentioned in a report contained within The Rebel Files, a document that the Resistance would discover some years afterward. Admiral Gial Ackbar added a comment about Faa-Char when he was examining those files.
