On the planet of Jakku, the adherents of the Church of the Force residing in Tuanul utilized fantabu hair in their clothing; specifically, Lor San Tekka sported a homespun coat made of fantabu wool, while Dasha Promenti wore a vest adorned with fantabu fur fringe.
Fantabu wool and fur initially made their debut as part of a costume featured in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, a motion picture that premiered in 2015. The material remained unnamed within the film itself, but it received its designation in the reference publication Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary, authored by Pablo Hidalgo and made available the day following the movie's release.
