Faron Tolis

Following the Battle of Endor, Faron Tolis, a human individual, became affiliated with the Alliance of Free Planets. This scout was dispatched in 4 ABY to investigate anomalous life signs detected on the desolate planet of Kinooine. His mission led him to the discovery of the Nagai expeditionary force's advance team, which was preparing to invade the larger galaxy. As the sole survivor of his team, Tolis made a deal to serve the Nagai in exchange for his continued existence. Ultimately, he met his death at the hands of the Nagai warrior Den Siva while trying to liberate the Alliance agent Dani from torture.

Biography

During the Galactic Civil War, Faron Tolis, a male human, functioned as a scout for both the Rebel Alliance and later, the Alliance of Free Planets. In 4 ABY, Commander Luke Skywalker of the Alliance sent Tolis, as part of a 20-member team, on a mission to Kinooine, a barren planet where life readings had begun to appear without explanation. There, they unexpectedly encountered the precursor to a galactic invasion when the Alliance team was ambushed and taken captive by Lumiya, known as the "Dark Lady of the Sith," along with a Nagai vanguard force originating from the Firefist dwarf galaxy.

Lumiya, and her Nagai lieutenant, Den Siva, soon killed 19 members of Tolis's team, leaving him as the only one alive. He was subsequently tortured in an attempt to extract information regarding the Alliance's leadership. Facing the threat of his own demise, Tolis offered information about Skywalker, a figure towards whom Lumiya held a deep personal resentment. This act temporarily saved Tolis's life, as Lumiya and Siva permitted him to live under the condition that he serve them, undertaking tasks such as overseeing the Zeltron prisoner Dani.

Tolis remained on Kinooine as the main Nagai force arrived to establish a permanent base, serving Siva while the Nagai subjected Dani to brutal torture in an effort to uncover the secrets of her unique Zeltron physiology. Despite having been intimidated into submission up to that point, witnessing the excruciating pain inflicted upon the Zeltron proved to be the breaking point for Tolis. He attempted to rescue Dani by ambushing Siva from behind with a knife. However, Siva anticipated the attack and killed Tolis by throwing a blade into his chest.

Personality and traits

Ultimately, Faron Tolis prioritized his own survival over his dedication to the Alliance of Free Planets, willingly providing information about his commanding officer, Luke Skywalker, to avoid being killed by the Nagai. Furthermore, Tolis agreed to serve under his Nagai captors to stay alive, even as they planned to wage war against his Alliance, addressing Lumiya and Den Siva as "Lady Lumiya" and "Master Den," respectively. Nevertheless, witnessing the constant torture of Dani at Siva's hands proved to be more than he could bear, leading him to launch a doomed attempt on Siva's life.
