On that particular day, the HoloNet News's CoCo District Edition released an article entitled "Yet Another Greenputt League," covering the emergence of the Non-Sentient Professional Greenputt Tour and its addition to the other professional greenputt organizations.
The initial reference to the Female Professional Greenputt Tour appeared within the in-universe publication HoloNet News Vol. 531 #47, which was made available on the HoloNet News website on March 14, 2002. Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens collaborated on the creation of the website's content, including the aforementioned news piece.
