Fiarok held the position of diplomat for the Nautolan people and was the leader of the Nautolan peace delegation during the Republic Era. During this time, the Anselmi–Nautolan war had reached a point of ceasefire, with a treaty intended to formally end the conflict. To bolster the treaty's success, Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum made the decision to present the Hope of Glee Anselm, an artifact significant to both species, to both the Nautolan and Aselmi delegations during a ceremony held on Jaloria. However, without others knowing, Fiarok was approached by Huijari, a Mirialan agent in the service of Count Dooku. Not knowing who Dooku truly was, and only knowing the Mirialan was acting for a benefactor, Fiarok consented to a scheme to steal the statue, replacing it with a forgery. He then went on to employ a crew of Nautolan theives to take the fake artifact.
At the ceremony, Fiarok was in attendance with two colleagues, standing beside an Anselmi representative and Governor Tok of the Galactic Republic. The artifact was presented, only to be then stolen by the thieves, an event that threatened to reignite the war on Glee Anselm. All the while, Fiarok kept the authentic statue secured within his own guest quarters. Later, Fiarok was present, along with the Anselmi, when the Republic official engaged the services of Jango Fett, a bounty hunter, to recover the stolen artifact. When Fett uncovered the truth, Fiarok attempted to reveal the larger conspiracy at play, but he was unsuccessful in convincing the Republic.
