The Chagrian female who gave birth to Fideltin Rusk, a soldier of the Galactic Republic, resided on Mindor, a planet where a colony existed. This occurred during the Great Galactic War, a conflict between the Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. She, like many of her species, was a committed pacifist, and along with a Chagrian male, she had a son named Fideltin around 3680 BBY.
However, Fideltin defied the pacifistic principles of his colony. Once he reached adulthood, he enlisted in the Republic Military. Throughout both the Great Galactic War and the subsequent Cold War, he never went back to the colony. In 3650 BBY, during an attack on Republic territory, the Sith Empire assaulted the colony, resulting in the deaths of his mother and father, as well as the rest of the colony's inhabitants. Following this tragedy, Rusk's superiors began to note an increase in his recklessness during combat.
The initial mention of Fideltin Rusk's mother, a companion character for the Jedi Knight class, appeared in the Holonet section of the official website for Star Wars: The Old Republic, a video game developed by BioWare and released in 2011.
