The Flame of Sinthara, a cathedral ship, served the Republic Navy during the Pius Dea Era. It participated in the Battle of Uquine in 10,966 BBY, fighting against the allied Jedi and Renunciate forces. During that battle, a Jedi boarding party seized Supreme Chancellor Contispex XIX on the ship's bridge of the warship.
Equipped with a hyperdrive and featuring a bridge, the Flame of Sinthara was classified as a cathedral ship.
Supreme Chancellor Contispex XIX of the Pius Dea-dominated Galactic Republic was aboard the Flame of Sinthara when it journeyed through hyperspace to the planet Uquine in 10,966 BBY. The Pius Dea warship fleet, including the Flame of Sinthara, intended to crush the Renunciates, a group opposing the Pius Dea religion who were allied with the Jedi Order, the Caamasi, and the forces of Alsakan.
The Pius Dea Republic was unaware that the Renunciates had lured them to Uquine. Upon arrival, the cathedral ships were attacked by the combined Jedi–Renunciate alliance. A Jedi team boarded the Flame of Sinthara during the conflict, reached the warship's bridge, and captured Chancellor Contispex XIX. His capture marked the end of the Pius Dea's control over the Galactic Republic.
Paul R. Urquhart and Jason Fry mentioned the Flame of Sinthara in their 2012 reference book, The Essential Guide to Warfare.
