Jarael's Flames of the Crucible
Crucible tattoos, otherwise known as the Flames of the Crucible, were Crucible cant symbols typically tattooed onto members of The Crucible, a slaver organisation. These tattoos, carrying diverse significances, could be seen on the arms, chests, and even faces of individuals within the Crucible's hierarchy.
These Flames were exclusive to internal security forces and minders who had, through skill or action, become permanent fixtures of the Crucible. They were unique to these individuals, unlike the general population such as Goethar Kleej and Qohn, or specialized minions like Dace Golliard, who did not possess them. Tattoos located on the arms of Crucible members usually denoted military symbols, indicating rank and the specific trainee group to which a minder was assigned. It was known that some members, including Chantique and Jarael, displayed the Flames of the Crucible on their faces. In the case of Jarael, the tattoos signified "Protector," a title bestowed upon her by the Crucible's slaves.
